Nicola Sturgeon recently announced that, if all goes to plan, all remaining legal Covid-19 measures could be scrapped on 9 August. However, many have said they will continue to wear masks even when restrictions come to an end.

Masks should continue to be worn. In fact I'm gobsmacked when I go to the shops by how many people aren't wearing masks. Also delivery drivers going from house to house and not wearing masks. Infection rates are growing, people are in hospital (even double vaccinated), so it’s a yes to keeping masks on (even though I hate the things).

Jacqueline Calder 100 per cent I will keep wearing one. It hides the double chin I’ve gained over lockdown.

Emme Anne I think masks should stay until until the need to stop isolating when you've been a contact ends. The requirement to sanitise your hands before entering places should also remain.

Jane Cameron

I will probably continue wearing them when I'm in shops but I would stop at work. Short term I can handle but hours becomes too much for me.

Vicky Thomson I kept forgetting to put one on at first and now it's becomd such a habit I naturally just put one on without thinking. It's become such a part of my routine.

Mark HS Dobson The good ones have become rather fashionable if you are willing to spend more.

Franz Enriquez I speak for anyone with glasses… no masks!

Lisa Kernan In places like public transport and shops, I am happy to wear them. For some countries in Asia masks have been worn as part of everyday life for decades.

Lizz Rennie I have been perfectly healthy for the last 18 months – I’ve not had a single cold – so the mask stays.

Kate B-g I'm the reverse, I was getting colds every week until I realised it was the mask that was causing it and cut it down to the absolute bare minimum.

Stephanie Ng The sooner we get rid of masks the better. That's why I was keen to get the jabs – we have to believe in them,

Charles Lennon I'll keep wearing one until everyone has been offered a jab. After that those that have refused, tough. Over 80 per cent of those in hospital now have not been vaccinated.

David Black Do you really think we are going to have a choice here?

Messy campers

A group of youths verbally abused staff, “kicked ducks” and caused environmental damage while camping at Glenmore, one of Scotland’s beauty spots.

Disgusting behaviour, and unfortunately, it seems to be happening everywhere.

What is wrong with people these days?

Margaret Peers Should be mandatory three years in the army when they leave school to knock them into shape or three years in jail if they refuse to go.

Lawrence Sleeman Pretty much what Germany and Italy did in the 1920s. What could possibly go wrong?

Fede Marsalli Enforced brainwashing in the armed forces because some neds made a mess and upset a few folk? How about punishing them appropriately with a community service order back in the area that thay caused the damage to educate them about why their behaviour is unacceptable whilst they make reparations for it? More reasonable and realistic and enough disruption to the offenders’ lives to make it punitive without being excessive and unnecessarily alienating them from society or damaging their future employment chances irreparably. It’s called breaking the cycle.

Clark Fraser Why are so many people surprised by this? Apart from abusing staff, which is really unacceptable, this sort of mess can be seen anywhere. Cities and towns are all incredibly messy.

Gawel Pawel These people would normally be holidaying in the Costa Del Sol. They'd be doing much the same there, no doubt.

David Ogilvie You only need to look at what football fans left behind in George Square in Glasgow and Leicester Square in London to see that there’s an awful lot of people in Scotland who have no regard for their environment or respect for those trying to protect our environment
