UK Health Minister Sajid Javid said that after 16 August, people in England who have been double vaccinated will not need to self-isolate if they come into contact with someone who has tested positive.

@jactayor wrote: “I’m double jabbed and have 15 year old twins. We’ve all tested positive! I’ll still avoid indoors, mass gathering and I’ll still wear my masks”

@ariellefox replied: “Right… so what about people like me who have serious allergies and are unable to get vaccinated? Double jabbed people can still carry and spread the virus so my health and others are at risk, for what? I am also in the at risk group.”

@thetimeprophet fretted: “Is this backdoor identity cards? I will not carry identification, so there is no way they can check if I have been vaccinated.”

@Mickmaloney said: “Dead right. Time to drive on now”

summer recess?”

#BUBBLES

Meanwhile, UK Education Secretary Gavin Williamson announced the end of school bubbles after 19 July.

@Max6587 wrote: “Well that’s dumb.”

@Bobbyba328 disagreed: “Good lad Gavin.”

@13Sarahmurphy tweeted: “However, the bubble that occupies his brain space will remain in place. Meaning that he will not be able to explain anything he’s just announced.”

@Dr2nisreenalwan wrote: “No protection from C ovid offered to children at all. No ‘personal choice’ offered to parents to protect their children if they attend state schools.”

@jadegoose wrote: “Parents need to rise up and insist on vaccinations, how dare they use children in this manner!”

@Pumpkiz wrote: “Aren't we lucky, we have the freedom to get infected but not the freedom to protest?”

@Commaficianado said: “It's going to be interesting having a whole generation nobbled by the insidious effects of long Covid. Did I say interesting? I meant an avoidable, horrific tragedy.”

@Emergmeddr added: “Did parents sign up to having their kids used as guinea pigs?”
