Live and let die?

-

Scottish Conservative Leader Douglas Ross has called for restrictions to ease and a return to normality, saying ‘people die from a number of ailments all the time’.

Just like we have to live with a Tory government.

Phil Stevenson

He has a point. Living comes with a 100% mortality rate.

Scott Reid

Yeah, but surely we want to avert that as much as possible, otherwise why would you bother looking when you cross the street?

Graeme Tennant

He's right. Especially now that, under Sturgeon, Scotland is the Covid hotspot of Europe. Funny how the SNP seem to have disappeared from our airwaves. Where is her boastful trumpeting, of last summer, now?

Stephen Gardiner

The SNP only do good news and vanity projects – retreat to the bunkers when the heat is on. One good thing, Bargain Hunt is back at its usual time of 12:15 instead of listening to Podium Nicola pontificating.

Charlie Duncan No one’s ever happy in Scotland. We’re all moaning when we get locked down or things aren’t open, yet we all moan when we’re told to live with it. Can’t have it both ways.

Gordon Campbell

Close everything down and people lose jobs or businesses, mental health suffers, health suffers etc. Thousands die of heart attacks and cancer every day, it’s time to get life back on track, we shouldn't forget about Covid but it has to be managed differently now rather than locking us all up.

Dougie Stewart

Scotland will learn to live with the virus when it's the right time for Scotland. Now is maybe not the best time

due to the high increase figures we are presently experiencing. Boris and his Conservative party can test their theory in England with lifting restrictions. Nicola could wait ten days for the Boris experiment test results.

Kim Falconer-stuart

Scotland is the Covid capital of Europe, is that Boris' fault?

Nick Butler

Not often I agree with him, but he's right. Can't stay restricted forever.

Fraser Thorburn

Let’s all be grateful that this Boris parrot is in charge of absolutely nothing in Scotland.

Patricia Anderson Love how he is showing

empathy for others.

Peter Guthrie

He's right though.

Llorna Shiels

First time I've ever agreed with Douglas Ross, but he is 100% correct on this one.

Isa Bee

He needs to learn that he and his Tories hold no sway in Scotland, they are an objectionable irrelevance.

Ian Ross

Just over 20% of voters disagree with that.

Ian Cunningham

He's right. If we are not going to return to normality when all the most vulnerable are now vaccinated and hospitalisations/deaths are low, then when will we ever return to normality? What is Sturgeon waiting for? Elimination? It was clear last summer when she was talking about "elimination" in Scotland that she was speaking complete rubbish. You can't "eliminate" a virus such as this in our current global world.
