SNP inquiry

A formal investigation into allegations of financial mismanagement within the SNP has been launched by Police Scotland. The allegations surround around £600,000 of donations to the SNP which had been part of a crowdfunder for money to be spent on a future independence referendum.

Maybe they should call in AC12, and Superintendent Ted Hastings instead of Police Scotland just to make sure the investigations are thorough, and impartial.

Anna Mosspaul They should investigate a lot more.

Richard Cheyne

Let’s see how transparent this investigation is.

Angela Mcdermott

It’s a fair bet that Police Scotland will, after what will be described as “an exhaustive investigation”, report that they have found nothing.

Dave Workman

Oh, they are trying so hard to get something on the Party and it’s members.

Barbaranne Knox

Well, if you are happy that £600k has gone missing and is unaccounted for that shows a remarkable tolerance and acceptance of poor standards within the party. No wonder people think SNP followers are so gullible.

Peter Lewis There has to be criminal intent for a crime to be committed.

Joe Rockss Is that not for the police to find/not find then the Procurator Fiscal decides if it is criminal or not? Truthfully, If I donate money to something I expect it to go exactly where I was promised it would go to.

irregularities.

Craig Hollywood Wonder how this will pan out, nothing to see here, same as every other investigation against them.

Yes but no but

The First Minister said Scotland would move into the lowest level of restrictions from 19 July but has warned the public they must continue to be cautious, with the continued use of face coverings and physical distancing.

So the restrictions are lifted, except where they’re still in place?

Philip Hartley

So does this mean that all GP services go back to normal at last? Why is this

never mentioned? It’s about time GPS got back into their surgeries and helped out their colleagues in hospitals and district nurses, who never had the privilege of working over a phone.

Lorraine Tierney

Pathetic – this lack of courage on behalf of Sturgeon and her advisers should mean that the Covid restrictions that will still be in place come 19 July need to be reviewed and negated as appropriate every week until we get to the level zero we were promised and expect.

Not this hopeless halfway house that they have cobbled together. Then a complete lift of all legal requirements in August.

Graeme Robertson

Same old same old by all accounts. Gave up listening to her months ago.

Angela Mcdermott

She doesn't want it to end.

Stuart Mitchell

Flipping dictator… just let us get on with it. Yet again level 0 was meant to be A,B,C and guess what she does? Moves the goal posts.

Ali Renwick

Should be eased . It’s a farce now, just my opinion

Keith O’flaherty

Lifting it far to early but if you do another lockdown I won't be sticking to your rules as there are rules for some and rules for others.

Beverley Todd If the Royal Fa mily can attend something like the Euros at this stage there's clearly extremely low danger... maybe in E ngland but with the border 100% open to come and go I don't see why our rules should be any stronger than theirs.

Becky Hume

Exactly , if it was that bad why were they there also 140,000 expected at Silverstone this weekend for the F1?

Robert Bruce

Look at everyone at the Euros with no masks and we are told to wear them. I'm honestly thinking of wearing one less, if not at all, after it happens in England.

Kevin Somerville

Totally agree, this should have been eased or removed over a year ago.

Peter Macpherson

She’d fit right in, in North Korea.

Iain Maccrae Level 0 should mean 0 restrictions. What’s pre2020 level minus 2? Getting shafted all ways from this lot. No wonder she wants the children to learn nothing at school.
