#NOTTOOMUCHTO MASK

The NHS launched its #Nottoomuchtomask initiative, in ‘a show of solidarity with everyone who wants to continue protecting themselves and others’ after as the remaining Covid-19 restrictions were lifted in England.

@kris859 wrote: “My mask is coming off in line with government legislation.”

@charlylynch18 tweeted: “Today is going to be hard and scary for so many people, so let's all carry on doing what we can to protect and care for each other.”

@jamesdevinenhs wrote: “Simple analogy for today. You’ve been canoeing across the sea for over a year. You can finally see the beach and you’re getting excited. You don’t chuck the paddle in the water and hope for the best – you keep paddling until you’re safely on land.”

@Lovefilmnews wrote: “Given rising infection stats, means I will now visit fewer shops, restaurants, cafes, theatres, cinemas etc than if mandatory face masks and social distancing were still in place. So I’m pleased so many businesses are keeping measures.”

@petermgiller said: “I think this could be a really important campaign.”

#SUPERMARKETS

As Scotland watches England to see how things settle, supermarkets were setting the pace.

@primarycohead wrote: “My local Sainsbury’s have removed the clear screens between each self service till. Whilst I understand restrictions have been lifted, I find it odd that you would actively remove a physical measure which helps to keep people safe.”

@drneenajha wrote: “Just been to Sainsbury’s and almost every single customer and staff member was wearing a mask. Faith in the good in people has been restored.”

@suzyr61 wrote: “I was the only unmasked one in Sainsbury’s. People wearing them in the street in 25 deg heat. It’s frickin madness!”

@g79rumi said: “Normality… and a lot more space at tills, I kept tripping on those blasted screens!”

@thedressjunkies wrote: “I’m shocked. Just been to Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s. couldn’t believe the amount of people still wearing masks, must have been 90%. They were getting out of their cars wearing them! What is wrong with these people?”

@Granthastime said: “Nobody cares in Lidl.”
