I think Southgate and the England team (many of whose best players were black) have put themselves on "the right side of the debate". They were principled and dignified.

Peter Lewis I agree. I'm just not sure taking the knee is necessarily the best approach. What happened to the young footballers does highlight, I agree, that much more has to be done.

Frank Brown if you accept there's a problem why do you have issues with taking the knee. It works, as everyone knows exactly what and why they're protesting.
