Appy days?
Deputy First Minister John Swinney said the vaccine passport system in Scotland is working well and believes all issues with the app have been resolved.
I'll tell you what – let's just ditch this "Vaccine Passport" nonsense and let everyone just get on with their lives.
Angelo Greig “He believes...? He’s paid to know the answers, and to direct the Civil Service until it meets the needs of Scotland. Again, he fails.
Philip Hartley
Well I’ve just went on and it is working now!
Lindsay Fox Anderson
So did I, and it’s not.
Davie Maxwell
It's working fine now. Just too many people trying to get it downloaded in the first couple of days.
Patricia Anderson
No at all, it's not working! When I enter the e-mail address, the system asks me to enter a valid one, but my e-mail address is valid, only the app doesn't work!
Sergio Rad I did not think he was the Health Minister for Scotland to be making these statements.
Trevor Mahoney
Any establishment or a place that requires me to show a ‘passport’ can go swivel… I’ll take my hard-earned cash and glowing personality to one that doesn’t…
Jason Van Hagen
Keep getting boosters or not valid?
John Stoddart I support the SNP in most things. Not this. Unworkable. Get rid.
Lorna Carr
He 'believes' wrongly cos I still can't get it. Been trying for days. Must be great to live in a completely delusional bubble constantly.
Veronica Macdonald
Won't this Covid passport need to be updated with the 3rd "booster jag", and every subsequent booster after that? Then we shall see three categories of people, the unvaccinated, the double vaccinated, and the triple vaccinated. So who will be then classed as fully vaccinated, when travelling, or going to a club or football match, the double vaccinated, or the triple vaccinated? What is the government's answer to this future conundrum?
Anna Mosspaul Ahh, a vaccine passport that will run out unless you have booster 1 .2 3 .4 and so on. Well done Big Pharma, you’re rubbing your hands now.

Traffic congestion
The City Council’s ‘Spaces for People’ scheme has seen Edinburgh congestion worsen, with traffic at prepandemic levels and less space on the roads.
They couldn’t even decide what SFP was about. First Covid, then road safety, then to prevent people dying by road traffic, then air pollution, then climate in general etc, etc. When you vote in the inept to run the show, you cannot blame them for being incompetent.
Navid Saberi
Wait until they start tram work on Picardy Place and shut North Bridge at same time.
Keith Hannah With Holyrood Park closed and multiple road works in the area, Niddrie Mains Road is nose to tail from crossroads to crossroads from 8.15am right through to 7pm. It takes forever to get anywhere. This is also causing cars to try to skip the traffic at ridiculous speeds, past the primary schools etc, making it unsafe for the kids.
Alison Mckerrow
If only commute times could go back to pre-trams works and Spaces for People.
Simon Saorsa-alba
Time to remove the Spaces for People scheme, getting roads reopened to full capacity – this was only meant to be a temporary measure.
Graeme Allan This policy of slowly removing and replacing perfectly efficient roundabouts with convoluted traffic-signalled junctions just chokes the whole city. We need a radical shift in policy towards roundabouts and zebra crossings.
John Smith
You put up Spaces for People, which no one uses. You made the problem, now everything is returning to normal, get SFP taken down. Or is a congestion charge next?
William Manson
The traffic is worse now than before pandemic, due to the council’s incompetence with regard to spaces for nobody to use.
Michael Craigens Navigation of Edinburgh is a complete joke. The tactics of our council, the planning and the money used has made things worse in just about every way.
Tom Macdonald Get rid of the Spaces for People scheme, which reduces a lot of the roads to one lane.
