Scottish Lib Dems leader Alex Cole-hamilton said it is “hard to see” how First Minister Nicola Sturgeon can lead her “viper’s nest” of a party into the next Holyrood elections.

I would like to see a Scottish First Minister actually do what they’re paid very well to do, and run Scotland properly. By that I mean not sending money abroad in aid, not opening unnecessary offices across Europe and North America, not using public money for their own cause, and working with the UK when they offer thousands of jobs, or better infrastructure, instead of ignoring them.

Henry Mcintosh I would like to see all politicians doing what they’re paid for, including the prime minister.

Brian Johnson Sturgeon must be removed long before 2026 or Scotland will not survive. Our public services are all a complete shambles, as well as roads and transport. We can't even trust Sturgeon to keep elderly people safe, and anyone transferred from hospital to a care home will be extremely concerned.

Right then Mr Colehamilton. Better to have a coalition with all Unionist parties. One party will stop the split vote between Labour and Tory. I don't know where the Lib Dems fit in, anyway, at the moment. One Unionist party, in my opinion, would see the back of Sturgeon and her SNP Scottish Government.

Nel Greig Unlike the nationalists, Conservatives and Labour actually have genuine political philosophies – unlikely to see a party that believes in wealth creation and freedom of the individual making allies with a party that believes in wealth redistribution and greater control by the state.

Peter Lewis Maybe [Alex Cole-hamilton] should be more concerned about his own party's miserable record after getting into bed with the Tories.
