#CHRISPACKHAM

Wildlife TV presenter Chris Packham, who has been campaigning for an end to hunting, said he was the victim of an arson attack outside his Hampshire home on Friday morning.

@otto_english wrote: “The harassment of Chris Packham is appalling. It's now been taken to new extremes. I really hope whoever did this gets caught. As Chris asks – where do they take it next?”

@Chrisbettles1 tweeted: “Big shout out to hero that is Chris Packham today, who, even in the face of relentless abuse including an arson attack at the gates of his home yesterday, continues to fight for the protection of nature and the global environment that is our life support system.”

@domdyer70 wrote: “Chris Packham is an inspiration to so many of us fighting to protect wildlife and the natural world. He faces constant threats and intimidation but he will never be silent. We stand by him, because he stands by us.”

@ohalrightthen2 said: “Chris Packham has been subjected to a disturbing campaign of intimidation for some time, but this looks like a dangerous escalation. If 4 guys in balaclavas blow up a car outside someone's house, surely it's time for counter terrorism officers to be put on the case?”

#JOANCOLLINS

Actress Joan Collins said she was ‘an early feminist, before it became a dirty word’.

@Friendbearx tweeted: “Really? With some of the kinds of stuff she's done?”

@Binman1869 added: “What utter tosh! She was no feminist! Still isn’t. She thinks woman should be attached to a kitchen”.”

@lookleftlost wrote: “The suffragettes will be thrilled to know Joan helped start this whole 'feminist' thing.”

@Rainfall1678 wrote: “If you don’t help other women then you are not a feminist.”

@Leelashop tweeted: “Anyone who thinks ‘feminist’ is a dirty word was never a feminist.”

@Synphamy replied: “Thinking you get to decide who is and isn't a feminist is a good example of dirtying the word.”

@Designsrosaron wrote: “I don’t live in nostalgia says woman who spends a small fortune on cosmetic surgery in order to live in the past”

@Molidcat replied: “She can afford to use the skills available to make her feel good. She's doing what she wants to do to feel comfortable now!”
