#CHICKEN

The UK'S largest poultry seller has warned that the price of chicken is set to rise because of supply chain problems. The chief executive of 2 Sisters Food Group, Ronald Kers, said that "in reality food is too cheap".

@jezobrien said: “If you’ve got a garden you can keep your own chicken, you get their eggs and you can slaughter the odd chicken for Sunday lunch. It’s not hard to do.”

@gotnocars posted: “It would be quicker if you told us what isn’t going up. Everybody's jacking up their prices whether there's any outside commercial pressure or not. Let's put up prices because the consumer is now programmed to expect it.”

@leebles1984 remarked: “Looks like they're finally coming home to roost.”

@gallagher1927 commented: “Great.

The chickens have been underpaid for years in the EU. Now that we've left and are finally free from Brussels, chickens will be able to command a fair price for their labour and only go on expensive tables. Poor people can eat Spam.”

@mary_scone observed: “So there are supply chain problems. Glad we cleared that up… otherwise I might think this price hike was intended to soften us up for the import of cheap, chlorinated chicken from across the pond.” @georgemstanton added: “Remember we are moving to high-chicken price, highskilled chicken economy!”

#PRINCE WILLIAM

Prince William has suggested that entrepreneurs should focus on saving the Earth rather than engaging in space tourism.

@Jason59314353 said: “Next time you see the royals on TV have a look at how many vehicles follow on behind their official car.”

@Dinkles1234 posted: “Him and his lot could downsize, rewild their land and stop taking private jets.”

@Silverf14922299 commented: “The Royal PR Machine makes sure the monarchy are seen every time there are good causes to hijack or patronages to be had. We bow and take it as how things are, learning from a young age royalty is something never to be questioned.”

@nicssadventure added: “He’s completely wrong on this one. He's showing his ignorance on the benefits of space colonisation.”
