Royal comment
The Queen’s suggestion that she is irritated by a lack of action in tackling climate change is a “common sense” response reflecting the views of many, royal commentators have said.
Rewilding the sprawling grouse shooting moors on her large Balmoral estate soon then, eh? Nope. Thought not. Pity. Would have been a magnificent example to set. Actions speak louder than 'alleged' overheard words.
Jimi Mcrae She campaigned to be exempt from climate laws. Abolish the monarchy!
Liz Rae
She has no business criticising anyone over energy use and climate change while she heats her vast castles and palaces that could house many families and people who are living on the street - "do as I say, not as I do" springs to mind.
Magmitch Mitchell
Good for her and all land owners who don't want those horrible looking wind farms that don't create enough energ. Iff they did, where is the saving? We're all going to pay even more or possibly have no electricity.
Elizabeth O Neill
An intervention nonetheless. The exact opposite of what she is supposed to do as monarch. It comes as no surprise First Minister Sturgeon was recently rated higher.
Dylan Reid How about she publicly states the the building of a fossil fuel guzzling yacht is something that shouldn’t happen?
David Howie
She happens to be spot on!
Carrie Eddy
Her Majesty is an amazing woman and whether the United Kingdom stays together or whether Scotland becomes independent and retains our Head of State as the Queen like Canada; long may she reign!
Johnny Mac
Meanwhile, the msm carries a story that the Royal family is actively lobbying both parliaments for an amendment so no wind generators are built on "their estate" at Balmoral.
Brian Johnson
Well she has a swathe of our wealth where she could invest in environmental solutions and downsize her standard of living.
Buchanan George
And I'm irritated in the lack of action regarding Prince Andrew
Bea Te
Put her in a council maisonette, re-wild the land on all her properties, cancel the civil list - sorted!
Stephen Johnson We already have the solution to anthropogenic global warming and concomitant climate change. Convert all coal and gas power plants to nuclear power generation. This can be done in a decade.
