Boris Johnson has set out plans to ban MPS from working as paid consultants, in the wake of the row over former Tory MP Owen Paterson. In a letter to Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle, the Prime Minister said MPS should adopt a ban "as a matter of urgency".

What about appearing on light TV and radio shows and then getting a job and media stature and later deals from that? Seems like we are saying business wrong but arts, media, books, lobby NGOS are all fine? Why?”

TV presenter Richard Madeley and ex-footballer David Ginola are among the stars heading to north Wales to take part in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! The contestants will again camp at Gwrych Castle in Abergele instead of the Australian jungle.
