Lindsays’ record round of promotions
Lindsays, the Scottish legal firm, has announced a record number of promotions, including two new partners, as part of its growth plans.
Kirsty Cooper and Vhari Selfridge both take up their partnerships in the residential property department, based in Edinburgh, as it responds to continued high demand for housing.
The pair head a field of 11 colleagueswhobeginworkintheir new posts from the start of this month. It marks the biggest tranche of promotions ever at one time at Lindsays.
Cooper and Selfridge step up from their roles as directors in the residential property team, positionstheyhadeachheldfor the past three years.
Ninefurtherpromotionshave beenmadeamongstaffinedinburgh and Dundee.

Elsewhereinresidentialproperty, Emma Conway has been
promotedfromsolicitortoassociateatthefirm’sseabraesoffice in Dundee. She has been with the firm since 2016. Ginny Lawson has been promoted to senior paralegal in the same team.
In the rural department, where clients include landowners, farmers and energy companies, Leanne Gordon and Tim Macdonald have been promoted from associate to senior associate. Both joined the firm as solicitors in 2016. Lewis Crofts is stepping up from senior solicitor
to associate in the same team. In the dispute resolution and litigation team, Gregor Macewan has been promoted to senior associate. He was previously an associate and has been with the firm since 2013 when he joined as a solicitor. Adam Gardiner, meanwhile, has been promoted to associate in the department.
There have also been two promotions in the corporate and technology team, with Nimarta Cheema progressing from senior solicitor to associate. Claire Hurst has become a senior company secretarial assistant.
Meanwhile, global law firm Pinsent Masons has promoted six Scottish-based lawyers to partner in a 23-strong promotion round, while three senior associates in Scotland have been promoted to legal director. The promotions will be effective as of May 1.
