Glenton Select is the ultimate in coaching with panoramic windows, extra leg room and reclining seats. Travel with a door-to-door service taking you direct from your home to the coach. And when you get on board, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy stunning scenery.

“We find our customers appreciate some of the special touches which is why Glenton Select is always popular,” says general manager Chris Ferns.

“Our travellers appreciate the wonderful social side to their holiday with plenty of chatting and the chance to make new friends, over dinner or on an excursion.”

The destinations on offer cover virtually every square mile of the British Isles – from

Cork to Cornwall, Skye to Scarborough and Blackpool to Bournemouth.

The Glasgow-based company has pick-ups across the Central Belt and the door-to-door service sees a car sent to a traveller’s house to take them in comfort to the coach. This service is for those within 15 miles of a pick-up point, although those living up to 25 miles can pay a little extra to also enjoy the benefits.

One of the firm’s most popular holidays is an island-hopping tour of the Hebrides, and Glenton recently introduced a holiday around the North Coast 500, through the dramatic scenery of the most northerly part of the British mainland.

Irish tours are also quick to be booked and include Dublin, Galway and Cork. Meanwhile, there is plenty to see and do in Bournemouth, Torquay, the Cotswolds and Wales.

There really is a destination for everyone. And if you want to go further afield, there are plans to re-introduce holidays to continental Europe later in the year.

Glenton Holidays – the only Abta-bonded Scottish coach tour company – prides itself on offering great value, including no single supplement charge on many holidays for solo travellers.

In fact, they have Good Companions tours aimed specifically at solo travellers. Many of Glenton’s customers are in their 50s, 60s or older and a friendly host travels with them “to make sure everyone is getting along and no-one is feeling left out,” says Chris. “It is about meeting new people and finding a buddy for travel.”

He adds: “At Glenton Holidays we are proud of the quality, variety, choice and value we offer. It means anyone and everyone is catered for on a holiday delivered through years of expertise.”
