Aliter expands investment team with SNIB’S Martin
◆ Aliter Capital, the specialist buy and build investor focused on small to medium-size UK support services businesses, has expanded its investment team with the arrival of Jonny Martin from his previous role at the Scottish National Investment Bank (SNIB).
Based at Aliter’s Glasgow office, Martin will be involved in identifying, assessing and transacting new investment opportunities and supporting Aliter’s portfolio companies.
He joins Aliter from SNIB’S investment team where he was an Associate Director, responsible for sourcing, appraising and executing minority growth equity investments in scale-up technology companies. Martin previously worked at Deloitte, where he qualified as a chartered accountant in 2016 and worked latterly in the firm’s transaction services team.
International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has continued the growth of its Infrastructure and Energy team with the recruitment of Euan Wilson as a new partner in Edinburgh.
Wilson, who joins from Dentons, will work closely with the firm's wider Infrastructure and Energy team with a particular focus on infrastructure asset management and the expiry and handback of PFI projects across the UK, as well advising central government and the wider public sector on a range of infrastructure matters.
He said: “Having worked opposite from the team at Addleshaw Goddard for many years, especially in relation to infrastructure asset management, I know the quality of the practice that I am joining and I’m delighted to be part of its ambition to be a dominant player in the market.”
Allied Surveyors Scotland has appointed Carla Walker as a building surveyor and director to its Inverness office.
Walker has over 20 years’ experience as a building surveyor having worked for several national firms, with the last four years being based in Inverness.
She will provide a full range of building surveying services throughout the Highlands and Islands, Moray and Aberdeenshire. “I am delighted to join Allied and look forward to providing not only a dedicated building surveying service across the area but also assisting the directors in the running of the business”, she said.
