Dave Myers and Si King reunite to travel down the west coast of the UK from north to south, celebratin­g food and producers along the way.

In the first of seven episodes, the amiable pair visit the Isle of Bute, where, amongst other highlights, they visit a patisserie owned and run by a Syrian family, who came to the island to escape their country’s war. They meet Maj, who arrived on Bute when he was only 12 but is now creating delicious cakes and tarts. The Bikers then hit the kitchen and cook a lamb Sfiha, a flatbread topped with meat and spices, a nod to the Syrian flavours at the patisserie. They also find out about a project to re-introduce truffles to the island, make haggis and visit the last remaining butchers on Bute. Tuesday, BBC2, 7pm

G’wed

The lives of working-class teenagers from Liverpool are celebrated in this new six-part comedy. Establishe­d names include Leanne Best, Brookside veteran Louis Emerick and Sunetra Sarker, while the teens are largely played by newcomers, including Dylan Thomas Smith as Reece, who hides his wisdom and insight behind his bad behaviour and Jake Kenny-byrne, who plays Christophe­r, a middle class southerner who has just joined the school.

The hugely successful Drag Race UK spin off returns as Rupaul invites Drag Race glamazons from around the world to the UK arena as they compete alongside fan favourites from Rupaul’s Drag Race UK. The elite players may come from different cultures and drag scenes, but they share one thing in common, they all want to do their countries proud by taking home the crown – and winning the cash prize on offer.

Ainsley’s Taste of Malta

This daytime show promises a blast of sunshine as Ainsley Harriott celebrates the food of Malta, a mash up of Sicilian, British, Spanish and even French culture and cuisine. Expect to see the likes of rabbit stews served beside mellow goat’s cheese, irresistib­le soft bread and honeyed desserts, in a fusion of Mediterran­ean and Arabic influence. In the first episode, Ainsley visits the capital, Valletta.

DOCUMENTAR­Y Boris Becker: The Rise & Fall

This two-part series reveals the inside story of how one of the world’s greatest sporting stars ended up in HM Prison Wandsworth.

Boris Becker took the tennis world by storm when he won Wimbledon aged just 17. He went on to win six major titles and more than $25m in prize money and millions more in sponsorshi­p deals, but it all fell apart when he was sentenced to two-anda-half years in prison for hiding £2.6 m worth of assets and loans to avoid paying debts in 2022.

The programme features interviews from people in his inner circle and the wider tennis world, including his estranged wife Sharlely Becker, former fiancee Alessandra Meyer-wölden, tennis champion Pat Cash, Boris’s first coach Gunther Bosch, and Rolf Hauschild, who has spent decades covering Boris for Bild magazine.
