Hannan puts down roots at Dobbies with new role
◆ Leading garden centre retailer Dobbies, has appointed Andy Hannan as Commercial Director.
With extensive experience from across the retail sector, Hannan will lead the delivery of Dobbies’ commercial strategy as it enters its new financial year. Andy has previously held senior commercial roles at retailers such as Homebase, Halfords, Jessops and Argos, where he was part of the team that led the digital transformation of the busines.
Hannan said: “I’m super excited about the opportunities there are with Dobbies. I’m a frequent Dobbies customer, with five stores in the area where I live. With a market leading position, I’m really looking forward to meeting, and
working with, colleagues and suppliers across the business.”
Dobbies CEO David Robinson added: “Someone with Andy’s depth and breadth of experience is just what we need to ensure we are well positioned to develop our commercial success.” Edinburgh’s Holyrood Distillery has appointed Giancarlo Bianchi as the new Sales Director.
Bianchi joins the urban distillery after 13 years at Penderyn Distillery in Wales. Initially joining Penderyn as visitor centre manager in 2011, Bianchi worked across the business before taking the role of Executive Director of Sales and Marketing in 2021.
Managing Director Huw Wright, said: “Giancarlo’s passionate and collaborative style, coupled with the breadth and depth of his experience, will be instrumental in delivering strong and sustainable business growth as we enter an exciting time for Holyrood Distillery.”
Property consultancy Galbraith has announced the appointment of Kerry Harvey and Andrew Maclachlan who join the firm as Associate and Senior Surveyor respectively, both working in the growing Commercial Property Management team.
Harvey has a wealth of experience working for CBRE and prior to that for a private property company. She has also been involved in the banking and construction sectors in an asset management role. Maclachlan joins the firm with a strong background in property and asset management, both north and south of the border.
