- David Hepburn

There’s no need to pack a tent and wellies to see these stars in the flesh this year.

After months of speculation the line-up for Glastobury 2024 has been announced – with Coldplay, SZA and Dua Lipa headlining the Pyramid Stage. Tickets sold out before a single act had been confirmed, with returns to be resold to a lucky few next month. If you didn't manage to get a ticket – or don't fancy the idea of campsites and muddy fields – you can still see many of the acts in Scotland. Here are five to catch.

Shania Twain: The Queen of Country Pop will be appearing in the legends slot on Sunday afternoon, following in the footsteps of Dolly Parton, Kylie Minogue and Lionel Ritchie. What should impress her much more is the backdrop of Stirling Castle when she plays the city on July 2. Rag ‘n’ Bone Man supports.

IDLES: The rock band from Bristol are set to headline The Other Stage at Worthy Farm this year following on from the critical and commercial success of their fifth studio album Tangk. The addition of new songs like Dancer and Gift Horse should see their intense live show reach new heights. Rain won't threaten to spoil the fun when they play Glasgow’s Hydro on November 23.

The Last Dinner Party: One of the most talked about bands of the year, they are likely to be one of the biggest draws on The Other Stage. They are booked for two long sold out gigs at Glasgow’s 02 Academy on September 20 and October 10, but you can also see them at Glasgow

Green for the TRNSMT festival on July 12-14 alongside other Glastonbury acts like New Dad and Sugababes.

Paloma Faith: The Voice UK judge has bagged a spot on the Pyramid Stage this year and she’ll be warming up with a couple of Scottish gigs at Glasgow’s Armadillo on April 30 and Dunfermline’s Alhambra Theatre on May 2.
