Jayyash expected to take move up to a mile in his stride with Kempton win

- Anita Chambers

Jayyash is the choice in the first division of the Unibet More Boosts In More Races Maiden Stakes at Kempton today.

A €420,000 breeze-up buy, he found subsequent Group Two winner Ghostwriter a tough test on debut and the Gosdens then gave him plenty of time before returning him to action last month.

An odds-on favourite at South well, he had to give best to Federal Envoy by a neck but the run should have brought him along nicely, with this move up to a mile expected to suit.

Screaming Eagle can take the second division after making huge strides between his first two runs.

After beating just one horse home on his initial run at Sandown back in September, Screaming Eagle went on to finish a short-head second over seven furlongs at the Sunbury venue in October. Andrew Balding moves him up to a mile here, which looks a wise move given Screaming Eagle's pedigree suggests he will stay further than that in time.

Godolphin hold the key to the Unibet Zero% Mission Fillies' Novice Stakes but Winter Snowfall is the pick of William Buick and the hint should be taken.

Juneberry and Sahara Snow also sport the royal blue silks and all have beautiful pedigrees, with Winter Snowfall's dam a Listed winner in Dubai and Group Three placed in Britain. As a daughter of Galileo, this one-mile-threefurlong trip looks a decent starting point.

Rogue Encore makes his debut for Peter Chapplehyam in the Additional Maiden Stakes after two placed runs for Tom Clover.

He cost 145,000 guineas at the breeze-ups last April but did not make his racecourse bow until Kempton in February, where he finished a lengthand-a-quarter second to Musical Dancer before then finding Inisherin three and a half lengths too good at Newcastle.

The winner is rated as a Classic prospect by his connections and while Rogue Encore is also entered in the 2000 Guineas, he is double the price of Inisherin. Nevertheless, the Kodiac colt looks more than capable of winning a race like this.

Eye Of Dubai can build on the promise he showed last year with victory in the Visit R ac ingtv.com novice stake sat Catterick.

The son of Havana Grey had two juvenile starts in 2023 and suffered the agony of a neck defeat on both occasions, firstly at Chester in September and then at Redcar in October.

Eye Of Dubai fluffed his start on theroo dee, which mean the was under pressure from the off so his second place to a more experienced rival offered hope and he was sent off the evens favourite for his next start.

He travelled supremely well at Redcar but deep ground perhaps just found him out with the line in sight. With that in mind another winter on his back will have benefitted John and Sean Quinn's charge.
