Ewan’s girl and sultry supermodel snapshots
WHEN pursuing a career in modelling, one might as well learn from the best.
And when your father is Hollywood royalty, expert advice is presumably just a phone call away.
Clara McGregor, daughter of Scots actor Ewan, appears to be carving out a life in front of the lens under the trained gaze of Helena Christensen.
Last week the 20-year-old, who recently revealed she is to star in her first film, shared images of herself posing – and revealed to fans that they were taken by the Danish former supermodel.
In one snap, uploaded to Miss McGregor’s Instagram account, the eldest of the Trainspotting star’s four children with French production designer wife Eve gazes thoughtfully out of an open window as she rests her head against its frame.
The sultry shot shows just a little of her burgundy and black-trimmed clothing as her hair tumbles loosely around her face and shoulders.
It is captioned: ‘Photographed by the incredible @helenachristensen.’
Another image is of Miss McGregor in a black, lacy vest and cream camisole, this time perched beside the door to a balcony. Compliments from her followers included: ‘Beautiful’, ‘Wow’ and ‘Nice pic.’ An earlier photograph shows Miss McGregor sitting beside 47year-old fashion model-turned-photographer Miss Christensen as the pair are accompanied by make-up artist Eric Polito. The three appear to have been part of a project with Danish-born New York City designer Camilla Staerk, whose own Instagram account last week included a photograph of the starstudded apartment shoot captioned: ‘Magic Today.’ Miss McGregor told fans she felt ‘lucky’ to have been captured on camera by the catwalk queen, who made her name alongside fellow industry-defining models such as Naomi Campbell, Elle Macpherson and Claudia Schiffer.
Mother-of-one Miss Christensen went on to develop a passion for photography that has since become a profession.
Although Miss McGregor had said she has never been tempted by acting, she last month told Twitter followers that she is to try out the same line of work as her celebrity father, who hails from Crieff, Perthshire.
Of the forthcoming movie, to be set in New York, she said: ‘So excited to be acting in my first film this summer! Great project titled Groove.’
It is described as ‘an independent feature film about three NYC subway musicians and their misadventures’ and shooting is to start next month.
