I’ve been collecting vouchers for a while to help keep a lid on costs

WITH two young children, Rachael McGillion-Fee is just finding out about the extra costs the school holidays bring. Rachael, a part-time business administrator, is married to James and they have children Ellis, three, and Eila, six. She says: ‘I’ve been collecting vouchers and tokens for a while so that I can keep a lid on summer break costs. ‘We go out four to five times a week in the holidays. I’m not one to sit around and do nothing, so it can get expensive.’

Rachael, 39, runs website Families Solihull, which provides ideas for day trips out in the local area. Her tips for cheap days out include looking for free trips on local websites and at children’s centres.
