On yer bike! Sophie’s wry jibe at Edward

PRINCE Edward’s recent cycling efforts have come in for a bit of stick – from his wife! The Countess of Wessex has been pedalling up to 80 miles a day as she cycles 445 miles from Edinburgh’s Palace of Holyroodhouse to Buckingham Palace for her father-in-law’s Duke of Edinburgh 60th anniversary challenge. And on her heroic travels she saw a video of Prince Edward hopping on a cycle machine for 60 seconds for a Duke of Edinburgh challenge in Guernsey. Quipped Sophie on her fundraiser page: ‘Call that a bike ride?! He has a long way to go before he can join our peleton!’
