Saved by the bell

Cyclists taking to the pavements now seems to be the norm. I recently received a glancing blow from a rider coming up behind me who must have been doing 25mph – it’s lucky that we weren’t both injured. If cyclists insist on riding on pavements, at least they should invest in a bell.
