Life-enhancing dancing
A SONG and a dance really can lift your mood long after the music stops, according to a new study. Researchers at Deakin University in Australia found that people who regularly go to live concerts and hit the dancefloor have an increased sense of wellbeing and higher satisfaction with life. In addition, those who preferred dancing were happier about their physical health, and concert-goers more satisfied with their standard of living. The findings, published in the journal Psychology Of Music, also suggest that the community aspect of concerts and dancing played a major role in improving mental health.
