TREBLE TOPS FOR FORREST

AN Alan Forrest hat-trick gave Ayr United all three points and extended Dumbarton’s winless streak to eight games.

United boss Ian McCall said: ‘That’s Alan got seven goals this season. It was great for him. He has a great attitude.’

Ayr went in front after just three minutes when Forrest knocked home the rebound from Gary Harkins’ strike.

Forrest capitalised on a goalkeeping error to double the lead after 50 minutes and he sealed his hat-trick from the penalty spot 11 minutes later.
