THE Duke and Duchess

of Cambridge failed to show up at a Bafta nominees party last night – in their own home. William is president of Bafta and will walk the red carpet tonight with Kate at the Royal Albert Hall after missing last year’s event.

But the pair missed the party in the King’s Gallery of Kensington Palace – much to the disappointment of stars.

‘We hoped William would come – it would have meant a lot to the nominees if he had,’ says my Bafta insider.

‘But our priority is the main event and we are pleased he is at least attending that, with Kate, this year.’
