Small firms’ big chance to shine
FORMER Business Secretary Sir Vince Cable will judge a new awards scheme for small and microbusinesses, which opened last week.
He will be joined on the panel by 2014 BBC Apprentice winner Mark Wright and Ed Vaizey, who was Digital & Culture Minister until 2016.
Firms have until March 31 to enter ‘The Small Awards’, which has categories for high street firms, family businesses, digital-only offerings, as well as the top marketing campaign. The aim is to ‘focus on those firms often overlooked by other awards that are doing great things’.
Entry costs £25 and the awards ceremony will be held at the end of May. See thesmallawards.uk.
