IT is the deadly poison that has changed the face of beauty.

Botox – also known as botulinum toxin A – is secreted by a bacterium that causes botulism, and has the power to paralyse muscles.

It is the most lethal toxin known to man – but is commonly injected into the face and neck, below, to freeze muscle activity and improve the appearance of crow’s feet, frown lines and wrinkles.

Celebrities including popstar Kylie Minogue and actresses Gwyneth Paltrow, and Cameron Diaz have all admitted using it.
