Locked out

-

It worries me that children these days seem to have no secure base for their belongings in school. They have to lug all their books and equipment with them from lesson to lesson and take them home at night, before bringing back what they need the following day. They have no permanent desk or locker in which to keep things. These youngsters are carrying such weighty bags that this may well have an adverse effect on their health in later life. Is it too much to ask that all schools operate a system where a small charge is made each term for a key to a locker so that equipment may be stored safely, thus easing the burden on our children?
