Katie has finally got Jordan off her chest

-

AFTER two decades of legendary antics and improbable breasts, Jordan – Katie Price’s alter ego – has finally been put out of business.

Katie, 38, has spent years trying to kill off her glamour model image, and now I can reveal that she has placed Jordan Trading Limited – owned entirely by her – into liquidation.

According to documents filed with Companies House by her administrators, the business owes the taxman almost £200,000 and various lawyers and accountants more than £20,000.

According to the liquidator’s report, assets add up to £177,000, including a director’s loan made to Katie. The figure also includes payments Katie is waiting for but which she has not yet received, including £10,000 for appearing on ITV chat show Loose Women and £8,000 for book royalties.

In 2009, Jordan Trading Ltd had assets of £1.5 million.

The model’s agent told me: ‘Katie is winding up Jordan Trading as she is no longer using this vehicle for running her businesses.’ The agent added: ‘All debtors are being paid and Katie is now running her affairs through another entity.’

The company is not the only one of Katie’s business interests to have gone into the red. Her firm called KDC Trading Limited – once worth more than £230,000 – reported losses of more than £30,000 in its latest accounts.

But the star is far from broke – she is reported still to be worth an impressive £40million. She currently lives in a £1.4 million mansion in East Sussex with 12 acres which she bought from Tory politican Francis Maude in 2014.

The house is just yards from her last property which she sold for £2million.

She began her career as a topless model in 1996, when she adopted the name Jordan, and has gone on to build an empire spanning property, reality television shows, books, perfume, lingerie and a range of equestrian goods.

She even added to her bank balance last week with a win at the Cheltenham Festival, where she was spotted cheering home a 7-1 shot.

And although she is dropping the Jordan identity, the mother of five has another nickname to hand – she now insists that people call her ‘Pricey’.
