The name’s Bald ... James Bald
HE’S the author who gave us James Bond, the world’s most dashing and famous spy.
And now Ian Fleming’s name is going to be turned to selling a host of new items – including, bizarrely, hair removal cream.
The 007 creator’s nieces, Lucy Fleming, 69, and Kate Grimond, 70, inherited his multi-million-pound estate when his widow died in 1981. They own the rights to the Bond brand and have applied as Ian Fleming Publications to register items including depilatory creams, denture polish and perfume in his name.
I wonder if current Bond Daniel Craig (in our tongue-in-cheek picture, right) will be tempted to try his creator’s new brands?
