Two injured in care home fire
A WOMAN aged 54 was taken to hospital with serious injuries last night following a fire in a room at a care home in Glasgow.
Another victim – a 78-year-old man – was treated by paramedics at the scene for smoke inhalation. Scottish Fire and Rescue say they received a call at 4.30pm about a fire in a room at the old people’s home in Kerr Drive, Bridgeton, in Glasgow’s east end. A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: ‘There are no other injuries.’
