Radio 4 Rabbi Lionel leaves £2m to charity

RABBI Lionel Blue, who was a regular on Radio 4’s Thought For The Day segment, left £2.1 million in his will – the bulk of it to charity.

Blue, who was Britain’s first openly gay rabbi, died in December aged 86.

Most of his estate was split equally between Friends of the Bereaved Families Forum, Age UK, PDSA, Carmelite Provincial Fund and Durham’s Grey College Trust.
