Yet as viewers brace themselves for tonight’s unmissable finale, it seems the last person in Cornwall to be told the secret about baby Valentine’s paternity is Elizabeth’s husband George – Ross’s sworn enemy.

Whether she’ll confess her devastating betrayal to George is just one of the burning questions that has set up a cliffhanger episode as dramatic as the Cornish coastline.
