... as her ex splashes the cash for some very lucky beggars

-

WHILE Petra Ecclestone was finalising her plans to make a new life for herself in Los Angeles, her former husband was gleefully showering beggars with cash.

As he smoked a cigarette outside a London restaurant on Friday night, 36-year-old James Stunt was suddenly surrounded by ten women asking for money.

Mr Stunt obliged, handing out hundreds of pounds in £20 notes, as the women’s hands shot up for the generous handout. Keeping Mr Stunt company was a young blonde female friend who bears an uncanny resemblance to his former wife.

The scene took place outside the fashionable Nobu restaurant in Mayfair, part of the international chain favoured by celebrities.

Mr Stunt and his wife ended their six-year marriage last year in a high-profile, acrimonious divorce.

He recently labelled Petra a ‘C-list celebrity’s daughter’ and claimed that marrying her had caused him to lose his social standing.
