THEY
were cut out of their mother’s will in humiliatingly public fashion, but that hasn’t stopped Lord and Lady Lucan’s children spending hours putting together a high-end auction of Lucan memorabilia at Bonhams. Though they won’t be making any money – I revealed previously that Lady Lucan decreed in her will that all profits must go to Shelter – her three children have assisted solicitors cataloguing highly collectible items from her home. They’re said to include a Dominick Elwes oil painting of Lord Lucan, designer jewellery and antique furniture. Some less valuable items including Lady Lucan’s tatty old Chanel suits and one of Lord Lucan’s motheaten top hats were quietly flogged for next to nothing at an auction house in Banbury last month.
