Two die in early morning crash
TWO men died early yesterday morning after a car went off a motorway and ended up in a field.
It happened on the M9 near Plean in Stirlingshire, around one mile east of the Bannockburn interchange just before 7am.
Police said a Toyota Hilux travelling eastbound left the road. Two men were pronounced dead at the scene and a third was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Larbert, with minor injuries.
Sergeant David Marr, of Police Scotland’s road policing unit based at Stirling, said: ‘I would ask anyone who was on the M9 immediately prior to the collision, or who witnessed what happened, to get in touch as soon as possible.’
