Move over Jennifer, Gerard’s got a new lady in his life...
HE has been romantically linked to a string of A-list celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Rita Ora and Cameron Diaz.
But now Scots actor Gerard Butler has a new love in his life.
The 48-year-old movie star has posted pictures online of himself cuddling up in bed and snuggling on the sofa – with his new pet dog.
Calling her ‘my best friend’, the actor has revealed how he rescued the animal – named Shushka – from the woods when he was shooting a new film, Hunter Killer, in the mountains of Bulgaria last year.
And in true Hollywood style, the star of movies such as 300 and PS I Love You has enlisted the services of a Los Angeles celebrity dog trainer whose other clients include Oprah Winfrey, Reece Witherspoon and Ben Affleck.
Shushka had been a stray and had given birth to puppies dangerously young – so the Scot decided to rescue her and give her a new home.
When they arrived at Butler’s luxury property in LA, the actor posted a picture of Shushka licking his cheek as they snuggled up together on the sofa.
He wrote: ‘Thankful for a new wee doggie in my life. She was a stray while I was filming up a mountain in Bulgaria. Stole my heart.’
Recently, the Paisley-born actor proudly posted a picture of the pup sitting in the sunshine with the caption: ‘Man’s (and my) best friend.’
Celebrity dog trainer Tamar Geller said: ‘I love all my students, but Shushka has got my heart wrapped around her little finger.’
