-

EVERY item of food and drink has a SmartPoints value – one easy-to-use number based on four components: calories, saturated fat, sugar and protein.

Calories establish the baseline of how many SmartPoints values the food is worth; saturated fat and sugar increase the SmartPoints value; protein lowers the SmartPoints value – the more protein, the fewer the SmartPoints. Here is what you need to know…

3 You can roll over up to four unused daily SmartPoints into your weekly allowance and use them however you like. But you can’t roll over your weekly points – these reset every week.

Weight Watchers can give you a personalised daily and weekly SmartPoints allowance, based on your age, weight, height and gender. To get yours, join a Weight Watchers meeting, or become an online subscriber at weightwatchers.com/uk.

1 If you stick to 23 daily SmartPoints, you will lose weight. This allowance resets every day.

2 If you do go over your daily 23 SmartPoints allowance, don’t worry. You also have a weekly SmartPoints allowance (average 28) to use on treats, bigger portions or nights out.
