PIERRE-EMERICK Aubameyang fired a double as Arsenal triumphed over Burnley 3-1 at The Emirates.

The Gabon striker scored either side of half-time to put the Gunners in control before Ashley Barnes hit back on 63 minutes.

However Alex Iwobi’s injury-time effort secured all three points for Unai Emery’s side.

Emery said: ‘I think we controlled the match like we wanted. We had to alter our game plan but it gave us the victory.’

Southampton moved three points clear of the bottom three after a 3-1 win at Huddersfield.

First-half goals from Nathan Redmond and Danny Ings put Saints in the driving seat but Philip Billing gave the Terriers hope of a point.

Michael Obafemi scored his first Premier League goal for Saints on 71 minutes to make the points safe.

Bournemouth got back to winning ways as David Brooks found the net in each half to beat Brighton 2-0.

Visiting defender Lewis Dunk was sent off following a second booking on 73 minutes.

Watford picked up their first league win in two months by ending West Ham’s recent run of good form with a 2-0 victory at the London Stadium.

Troy Deeney opened the scoring from the penalty spot on the half-hour mark before Gerard Deulofeu grabbed a late second.
