Cruz and Harper’s truly Posh baptism
VICTORIA BECKHAM yesterday spoke of having the ‘proudest of days’ as her two youngest children were baptised.
Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria was among the godparents as Cruz, 14, and Harper, eight, took pride of place in front of a star-studded congregation.
The other godparents were Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband Marc Anthony, himself a singer; Victoria’s hairdresser and confidant Ken Paves; and sports agent David Gardner, one of David Beckham’s closest friends.
Sir Elton John, who is godfather to the Beckhams’ other children – Brooklyn, 20, and Romeo, 17 – was also expected to attend the event at a church close to the family’s Cotswolds home in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.
Also thought to be there were film director Guy Ritchie and actress Liv Tyler, who is Gardner’s long-term partner.
Former Spice Girl Victoria, 45, took to Instagram to speak of her pride at the event, which came almost 15 years to the day since Brooklyn and Romeo were baptised in the garden of ‘Beckingham Palace’, the nickname given to their former Hertfordshire home.
Sharing a picture of Cruz and Harper, who was in a floorlength gown, Victoria wrote: ‘I couldn’t be more proud of my children and thankful to my family and the most wonderful Godparents.’
She added: ‘Proudest of days today watching Harper and Cruz being baptized in front of our friends and family. So much to be grateful for… I love u @davidbeckham x’
