You will stay on the edge of the Cotswolds in the glorious town of Cheltenham, from where you will visit the colourful gardens of Painswick Rococo Garden, Westonbirt National Arboretum and Rodmarton Manor. At the Lygon Arms Hotel in Broadway, you’ll savour a traditiona­l cream tea and you’ll also take trips to Hidcote gardens, Whichford Pottery in Shipston-on-Stour, and Daylesford Organic Farm, which has been farming sustainabl­y for more than 40 years.

One of the last country houses to be built and furnished by local craftsmen using local stone and timber, Rodmarton Manor is set in an eightacre garden that was designed as a series of outdoor rooms. You’ll take a tour of the estate as well as settling down for lunch.

See potters in action: During your visit to Whichford Pottery, worldfamou­s for its award-winning flowerpots, you’ll have a chance to see the hand-throwing and hand-pressing methods loved by gardeners all over the globe.

Explore the finest gardens: A Cotswolds must-see, the colourful Arts and Crafts garden at Hidcote was

created by Major Lawrence Johnston and features wonderful secret gardens connected by a maze of narrow paved pathways. Meanwhile, Painswick Rococo Garden is the only surviving garden of its kind in the UK and you’ll escape back to the early 1700s during a private tour.

Visit Daylesford Organic Farm:

You’ll be familiar with the produce from Daylesford Organic Farm from your supermarke­t shelves and you’ll have a chance to go behind the scenes at this award-winning site. A pioneer in the organic farming movement, Daylesford remains one of the most sustainabl­e farms in the country.
