Dig deep for brave Doddie’s birthday
HAPPY Birthday Doddie! In 2016, former Scotland rugby international Doddie Weir, pictured, was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) and told he wouldn’t be able to walk in a year’s time. Well, the big man is still standing and celebrated his 50th birthday yesterday. Since his diagnosis he has started the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and raised hundreds of thousands of pounds to help find a cure for this terrible disease. He doesn’t want praise or presents, just for people to donate a fiver if they can via his Just Giving page, https://www.justgiving.com/myname5doddiefoundation.
