At long last, the season gets under way, although it may be much truncated – so far only eight European races are set to take place, with the rest on hold, pending confirmation. All being well, reigning champion Lewis Hamilton (above) will be on the starting grid at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg to begin the defence of his world title. Highlights can be seen on Channel 4 at 6.30pm.
