500 miles to a salon? That’s a hair don’t

You reported last week that people are planning to travel 500 miles from Aberdeen to Newcastle to get a haircut, since salons in Scotland do not reopen until July 15. I really must criticise this.

I haven’t seen my sons and their families since January. One is only 40 miles away but I respect the health advice so have not been travelling. Too many people have been rewriting the pandemic rules to suit themselves. Let us hope the selfish acts of a few do not cause a spike in Covid cases. I. Carlyle, Grangemouth, Stirlingshire
