BRILLIANT BAYERN TARGETING TREBLE

BAYERN MUNICH remain on track to win the Treble after cruising past Bayer Leverkusen at the Olympiastadion in Berlin to win the German Cup for a record 20th time.

Bayern proved far too strong for Leverkusen as goals from David Alaba and Serge Gnabry gave them a 2-0 lead at half-time.

A second-half brace from Robert Lewandowski then saw the Bayern and Poland hitman move on to 55 goals for club and country this season.

Leverkusen found the net through Sven Bender and a late penalty from their in-demand youngster Kai Havertz.

But, after Bayern sealed the Bundesliga title last month, they will now chase Champions League glory to complete the Treble.
