Tragic Caroline Flack’s boyfriend finds solace with 1D star’s sister
CAROLINE FLACK’S grieving boyfriend is being consoled by social media influencer Lottie Tomlinson, a friend of the late Love Island presenter.
Lewis Burton was seen with Ms Tomlinson outside his home in Kent on Friday evening. Friends say the pair have grown very close in the past month.
Clutching a Marks & Spencer carrier bag, Ms Tomlinson, 21, the younger sister of One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson, followed Burton, 28, into his flat in Sidcup.
It is understood that Ms Tomlinson and Mr Burton, a model, have known each other for some time. Her agent is former fashion stylist to the stars Louise Teasdale, who was also Ms Flack’s closest friend.
One friend told The Mail on Sunday: ‘It’s the past four weeks that they have been spending time together. They are a real comfort to one another, and it’s lovely to see.’
Burton made no secret of his heartache when Ms Flack took her own life in February, a day after she had learned the Crown Prosecution Service was pursuing charges that she allegedly attacked Mr Burton. Speaking after her death, he said: ‘My heart is broken. We had something so special. I am so lost for words. I am in so much pain. I miss you so much.’
Last year, Ms Tomlinson’s younger sister Felicite was found dead at her London flat in March after taking a combination of drugs, including cocaine. Her death came just three years after Louis and the girls’ mother Johanna Deakin died of cancer aged just 43.
The inquest into Ms Flack’s death is due to conclude at the beginning of August, five-anda-half months after she was found hanged at her London flat. Her death came after she was charged with beating Mr Burton with a lamp at her previous home in Islington last December. Despite calling the police that night, Mr Burton refused to give evidence against Ms Flack but the CPS insisted on going ahead with the trial after she pleaded not guilty. Ms Tomlinson last night declined to comment about her friendship with Mr Burton.
