ACTRESS Maisie Smith left Strictly host Tess Daly with ‘chills’ after her stunning performance from Frozen II in one of the highlights of Movie Week yesterday.

The EastEnders star, 19, was handed a score of nine by judge Motsi Mabuse for her American Smooth dance to Into The Unknown by Idina Menzel.

Dressed as iconic Disney character Elsa, she and pro dancer Gorka Marquez won praise from all three of the panel but Ms Daly was left mesmerised, saying afterwards: ‘That gave me proper chills.’

Giving her eight, Craig Revel Horwood told her: ‘You’re a superb dancer’. Shirley Ballas gave the judges’ lowest score of the night, a seven, giving Maisie a total of 24 for the night.

She faces stiff competition for the glitterball from Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh.

She got the highest score of the series for her foxtrot to Jennifer Hudson’s Love You I Do hit from the Dreamgirls movie with her partner Giovanni Pernice, with all three judges giving her nines, making up a score of 27. Ranvir, 42, also got Craig’s first ‘fab-u-lous’ comment of the series too.

Meanwhile, online sensation HRVY was making waves with a score of 21 for his Cha Cha to Don’t Go Breaking My Heart by Elton John and Kiki Dee from the 2011 animated movie Gnomeo and Juliet.

Revel Horwood said: ‘I would love to have two gnomes in my garden who looked like you’, but they were shunted into fourth place.

Last night was the first time ever that there was no audience in the ballroom, based at the Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire. Covid restrictions meant no friends and family were allowed and instead they appeared via video link to congratulate contestants.
