A birthday with the family in curfewed Paris... is that work or pleasure, Kate?
RIGHT now, a birthday weekend in Paris is a distant dream for most of us, but France’s coronavirus crackdown didn’t deter Kate Moss from jetting in to celebrate in style.
The supermodel was accompanied by her boyfriend Nikolai von Bismarck and lookalike daughter Lila Grace on a flying visit to the City of Light, where she enjoyed her 47th birthday in fashionable luxury.
Sources said Kate had to travel to Paris for work and had been forced to break off a Caribbean holiday to do so, but she made the most of a city that is under a 6pm to 6am curfew.
The model jetted into Paris from the West Indies on January 14 – two days before her birthday – for a photoshoot. Lila Grace is due to grace the catwalk at a haute couture show for fashion house Fendi on Wednesday. The assignments meant the party were not breaching local lockdown rules against unnecessary travel.

Dressed in a floor-length British racing green skirt, a black coat and face mask, the model celebrated her special day on January 16 with a trip to vintage jewellers Dary’s, a favourite with the fashion set.
She then visited the Yves Saint Laurent boutique, where she picked up a black frock. Draped in a new jacket that looked like real fur, she left the Avenue Montaigne store accompanied by photographer Nikolai, 34, and Lila Grace, 18.
The following day, Kate left her plush hotel in the fur jacket and blue jeans but temporarily forgot to put on her face mask until she passed a sign that reminded her.
Kate is no stranger to the Ritz. Regular visits over the past three decades include those with former boyfriend Johnny Depp. Kate once said: ‘He always stayed there. I had an apartment in Paris at the time, but he said, “No, we’re staying at the Ritz.” He didn’t want to slum it in my apartment.’
