Aristo-dog on the catwalk... Now Lady Jean’s pooch gets modelling deal with Zara
SHE is one of Scotland’s most successful models – and now it seems Lady Jean Campbell’s dog is also developing a fashion world pedigree.
Her chocolate brown dachshund, Minky, has become the face of high street chain Zara’s first pet collection.
The pooch is seen posing in a raffia woven basket and wearing a black leather collar. She is also seen with Lady Jean alongside a brush and toy set.
Lady Jean – daughter of Colin Robert Vaughan Campbell, the 7th Earl Cawdor, and Isabella Cawdor, a former fashion editor of British Vogue – has modelled for Alexander McQueen, Bottega Veneta, Ralph Lauren and Caroline Herrera.
She grew up on the 6,000-acre Cawdor Estate, near Nairn.
Her Instagram feed shows her lovingly cuddling Minky during the Zara shoot. Another photo shows him having a rest after a long day of modelling, with a love heart emoji over his head.
Lady Jean, who has been living in Scotland during lockdown, wrote: ‘Me and Minky for Zara pet collection – make up by my best friend India Excell. Thank you.’
Creative director Ronnie Cooke Newhouse wrote: ‘Minky and Slinky’, while interior designer Rita Konig posted: ‘Sweet little Minky.’
Dog owners can also buy clothes that will co-ordinate with the range for pets.
It is not known how much Lady Jean’s pet, affectionately known as Baby Minky, earned for her first modelling shoot.
However, dog models can make between £300 and £500 per day – with the pay packet increasing if they have a large number of followers on social media.
